Some Old Macros

A lot of odd shifts in a row at the moment, so if I'm not sleeping I'm working. In fact, I haven't seen Master J since Tuesday!! I asked for him to wake me up this morning before he left, but he didn't want to wake me! I'm on a late/early now, so I will see him Saturday afternoon...!! :(
So with no time for new photographs, I thought I'd post some of my older ones -and my favourite style- macro's. My first ever post was the macro of the fly!! There was a while where nearly everything I took was with my macro lens, but I haven't done much in a while. I think its time to start again!! :)

Back to Work

Having worked 1 day out of 5, I found it hard to find the motivation to go in to work yesterday! Thankfully it was a late, so I spent a bit of time mucking around with Miss K and JBV out the front. Snapped a few photos, and spent the rest of the morning working on some of them in photoshop, playing around with effects and stuff. So I was all prepared to post a new blog when I got home from work last night! Time got away from me, and I had to hurry to get ready for work, and I forgot to save them... but they'd be right! Right? Nope. JBV let Master J play on my computer, and he shut it down when he finished. He would've had to go through so much prompting to be able to shut it down... "...save this file before closing...?" again and again. But there they all went went! It was only photos of JBV with different effects I suppose...! :) REALLY could not be bothered with it all last night, so I've redone a few this morning.
And then there's our Little Miss K...

Little Miss K. Attitude plus. She was BORN with attitude (takes after her Father!). She does not like having her photo taken. Not that you could tell with these! She covered her face and carried on like a wallaby, refusing to let me take her photo. And then all of a sudden, pulled out these poses before she took off sooking again! I have no idea where the hands under the chin posing has come from, but it cracked me up!

Saturday's Soccer Run On

Bit behind I know, but I was privileged to be bridesmaid in my friends wedding over the weekend, and haven't had the time to get on the computer!

Master J is a member of the Under 7's Noosa Lions Soccer (football lol) club, and they had a run on with the men's team last Saturday. Master J has come a long way- he's a very shy introverted little man, and still gets so nervous that it upsets him before a game- or even training! So imagine my surprise when he was so keen to be part of the run on! And not only the run on, but be part of the half time penalty shoot out! He lined up with the other U7's & U8's at half time to shoot for goals. I'm so proud to say that Master J scored (they were shooting against a 'big' kid) and that it came down to a shoot out between him and one of his team mates. He may not have won in the end, but I am so proud that he was out there having a good time, in front of all those people, without even a second thought!

Sunrise

JBV's facebook status summed it up nicely:

"Has surprised me again. Many times I have seen you come home just before the sun comes up. But never until this morning have I seen you on your day off, get up before the sun comes up. Lol. Especially to look at planets. The Stargazer. "

Yep. Friday the 13th of May, I got up in the freezing cold morning to go check out the "planets' alignment". For a couple of stars, it wasn't too bad! I thought I may as well get my behind down to the beach to get some photos of the stars and the following sunrise. Except I got stuck behind some other starry eyed star gazer on my way to the beach, and while you could still see the stars, they had faded a lot with the impending sunrise. And then the sunrise was crap! I have witnessed some stunning sunrises on my way to work- but of course Friday would give me nothing! I literally have nothing to show for my early morning expedition down the beach! So on my way home (I lie, on my way to get the family Maccas for breakfast before heading home) I decided to check out Lake Weyba. And actually have a few things to post! So at least the morning wasn't a total loss!
